Academic advising training programme launched

An academic advising training programme was launched, Wednesday, by Prof Abdurrahman Alyoubi, Vice President for Educational Affairs.
The programme is designed to assist in the training and development of academic advisors to ensure improved delivery of academic advising to students.
In his speech, Prof Alyoubi stressed the pivotal role of academic advising in the educational process.
"The academic advising is student-centred and responsive to student needs", he added.
"We are committed to providing the highest standard of academic counselling in a timely and professional way, with attention to detail and accuracy, he further added.
According to Dr Amin Y. Numan, Dean of Admission and Registration, academic advising is meant to guiding students on various academic issues including advising on curriculum matters, the courses to be registered, as well as reporting on the students' academic progress. |
