A number of resolutions were adopted by the Senate of King Abdulaziz University (KAU), when it met on Sunday, 2nd June 2013.
As has been customary, the meeting was chaired by KAU President, Prof Osama S. Tayyeb, on behalf of Dr Khalid Mohammed Al-Angari, Minister of Higher Education.
In attendance in the meeting were Dr Mohammed A. Al-Saleh, Secretary-General of the Higher Education Council, Prof Abdurrahman Alyoubi, Vice President for Educational Affairs, Prof Adnan H. Zahed, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof Abdullah M. Mohorji, Vice President, Dr Ahmed H. Nagadi, Vice President for Business and Knowledge Creativity, Dr Abdul-Fattah Mashat, Acting Vice President for Development, Prof Abdullah O. Bafil, Vice President for Projects, and other deans of deanships and faculties.
After considering the meeting's agenda, the following resolutions were made:
The final accounts of the Students' Fund for the fiscal year 2012-2013 were approved.
A number of new MA programmes and other redesigned academic plans for some BA programmes were also approved.
Some other appointments, promotions and secondments were also approved.
