First phase of online academic advising programme launched

 
 
 
 The first phase of an online academic counselling programme was launched by KAU President, Prof Osama S. Tayyeb, on Monday 5th May during a workshop organised by the Deanship of Admission and Registration.

"The move was taken to provide assistance to students seeking academic counselling. We are committed to providing the highest standard of academic counselling in a timely and professional way, with attention to detail and accuracy, said Prof Tayyeb.

"The academic counselling is student-centred and responsive to student needs. However, it should not be confined to educational affairs, rather it should also focus on the students' personal development", he also added.

A prize for the best faculty offering academic advising and another for the best academic counsellor were also unveiled by Prof Tayyeb during the event.

In his speech, Dr Amin Numan, Dean of Admission and Registration, stressed the pivotal role of academic advising in the educational process,.

He also added that the event was held with an eye to improving the academic advising for the best interests of the students.
